Bello at USA Volleyball A1 National Training Camp

Pilipa’a 15’s Outside Hitter Tiani Bello is in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to participate in the 2016 USA Volleyball A1 National Training Team Program and the USA Volleyball High Performance Championship tournament from July 14-July 24th.  Bello is one of only 55 girls  born in 2002 or 2003 that was selected from tryouts all over the country  to participate in the top-tier training program.

USA Volleyball describes the A1 Program as the highest level of programming available to athletes in the Select age group.    Participating athletes train as a group for 5 days before splitting into ability-tiered teams of 11 for the USA High Performance Championships immediately following training. Training is conducted by some of the top High Performance Pipeline Coaches in the country and features an intense international skill and system focus, including hands-on opponent scouting training. Teams are selected based on athlete performance during training.

This is Bello’s second volleyball trip to Florida this summer. She and her Pilipa’a 15’s teammates competed in the 43rd Annual AAU National Championships in June.  She is one of three Pilipa’a Girls participating in USA Volleyball High Performance Training Programs this summer.  Pilipa’a 15’s teammate Nani Spaar and Pilipa’a 16’s Kiani Troy completed training camp and A2 HP Tournaments  in Colorado Springs, Colorado today.
