Pilipa’a beats Cincinatti Attack advances to championship

Pilipa’a faced their toughest challenge to date in their semi-final match against Cincinatti Attack. They battled to a 28-26 first game victory. They struggled in the second set with a 15-25 loss, but bounced back in the third set with a huge Hawaii contingent cheering them on.  Pilipa’a (11-0) heads to the Gold Medal match and will take on Honolulu’s Onipa’a VB Rags for the 2008 USA Volleyball Junior Olympic Championship in the Boy’s 17’s Club division.

Mahalo to the Pilipa’a families, Ku’ikahi RoShamBo, Onipa’a, and new friends from around the country that came to support Pilipa’a in this game.
