New Orleans, LA – The girls woke up Wednesday morning ready to start a new day and to continue striving for their goal to get better each time we play. We started the day with breakfast at the hotel before our team meeting and a video session to review yesterday’s games.  The video session was a great opportunity to see and learn from some of our challenges the previous day.

The girls faced a very tough Elevation team from Ohio.  Pilipa’a made significant progress from the previous day and played some of the longest, toughest rallies of the tournament to that point.  Pilipa’a made fewer errors in this match and Elevation had to work hard to earn their points to defeat our girls.

Pilipa’a played Splash 14-1 National, coached by former University of Hawaii standout Outside Hitter Christ Kosty, in their second and final match of the day.   Pilipa’a was determined to get on a winning track and continued their strong play from the first match.  They started strong in game one with a balanced attack from their outside and middle hitters. The ball control was much more consistent than it had been earlier in the the tournament.  They had a small let up in game two,  but turned things around in a very strong 3rd game and defeated the team from Spokane, Washington 25-15, 21-25, 15-9.
