Pilipa’a versus Surfside 12-1

The Pilipa’a girls were defeated by a tough Surfside 12-1 team from the Southern California region in their third match of the day. Pilipa’a played tough in the first game, but lost 25-22. They struggled in the second game and lost 25-14.

The day provided a great experience for the girls as they are now beginning to realize that the “big” teams aren’t always that tough and that they can dig with the best of them. They are looking forward to day 2 and trying to finish out their first pool on a strong note.

Just want to say “DITTO” to Aunty Carla’s message! I coundn’t have said it better! We are all so proud of you here in Hilo …and I would have said that earlier but I didn’t know how to send a comment these past few days until I put on my glasses and finally saw this section much better!
Anuhea, your brother Kaahukane said that this is the time to have fun and enjoy the game …and the food. Oh, by the way, he cut his hair!…at the DEN! Coach Chris, thanks for your daily updates. Your time and thoughtfulness for us parents and ohana at home is much appreciated. IMUA!

Each match brings better experience and more confidence that they can “dig” with the best of them. Good luck!!
