Spaar commits to Temple University

Congratulations to Pilipa’a’s Nani Spaar (Pilipa’a / Kamehameha-Hawaii ’20) who verbally committed to play  volleyball for  Temple University.   Spaar, a hard-hitting 6-foot sophomore outside hitter, is beginning her fourth season with Pilipa’a.  She is also a starter at outside hitter for Kamehameha-Hawaii.  Spaar spent this last summer competing with her Pilipa’a 15’s at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championship in Minneapolis and training in Colorado Springs at the USA Volleyball Select A2 camp.

Spaar follows other outstanding Hawaii athletes previously recruited by Temple including Gabby Matautia (current Graduate Assistant with the University of Hawaii Men’s team) and Mia Heirakuji (Kamehameha-Kapalama standout and current Junior libero at Temple).

Spaar will join the NCAA Division I Temple Owls program in Philadelphia in the Fall of 2020.
